A large number of visitors, local, national,
and international, were given tours of the ADL
facilities and demonstrations of the WP.
Amongst this large collection of visitors,
we note the following:
- On October 28th, ADL hosted a presentation by Dr. Catherine
Plaisant on
``Previews and Overviews to Support Visual Information Seeking in
Digital Libraries.'' Dr. Plaisant works with the Human-Computer
Interaction Laboratory of the University of Maryland and has designed
interfaces both for the Library of Congress and NASA.
